Again, I don't want a four door. Im not going to buy a four door. They lost a sale to people that want 2 door cars. Their ignoring this part of the market, even if they continue to state that there is no market for 2 doors. Slap in the face from Chrysler. "YOU WILL BUY ONLY WANT WE WANT TO MAKE."

Jeffy your list's too long! :) 2-seat sports cars are a whole different market (Vette, Panoz). The BMW's and MB's are a different price class where a low-volume coupe can still make money, and all those 3xx BMWs are the same car anyway. Most of the rest of your list is compact econocars with the exception of the Mustang which does well because it's a Mustang. About the only cars that would really be a competitor for a Charger coupe is the Monte Carlo, Accord coupe, and Camry Solara (and maybe the BMW/Mercs if we're talking decontented cars vs a loaded Charger). None are terrific sellers. The Monte Carlo's the one I see the most of and it only sells about 60k a year.

My list was directed to Kensai as he was saying that coupes are fading out of the picture. I wasn't looking at price or class of the car. We are missing the econmarket and full size 2 door market. I just want one full size sport 2 door car made by dodge that is affordable. I guess its too much to ask for.

It seems like the High Performance 4 door sedan thing was an expensive European trend that has drifted to Chrysler's side, which is OK. BUT Dodge needs a 2 door. Make the damn thing a 2 door next year. The Stratus has both 2 & 4 doors available, so give the people what they want or they'll want a Mustang in their driveway instead.

Not to change the subject (hasn't is been beat into the ground?) but, do you have any pictures of your Cuda? '70 Cudas are one of my all time favorites.

I know I don't post much so my credibility is limited, but from information I have recieved and also looking at the writing on the wall. I am led to believe that dcx will be producing a hemi powered coupe possible a convertable based on the E-body cars of 60's and 70's. Only problem is right now is that there is not enough hemi engine to fill the potential market. And dcx dosn't want to drive the price up any higher on it's other hemi powered vehicles. I do remember that starting in the 2003 model year dcx was going to release 36 new models by the 2007 model year. They are still well short of that.

ok this is the first time im posting but here we go... I'm 21 years old and since i was 16 i've owned 2 door cars.. 91 celica gts and 93 integra... through those 4 years those were great cars but now im getting older and when i get in my celica i keep wishing it had more room plus if i want two passengers i gotta squeeze them in the back. Im selling the car now and am looking for a 4 door. About 90% of the people that i know that are around my age are the same way. They'd rather have a car thats fast but has 4 doors. Power and space is everything for some reason and i agree with that. During high school the most fun i had was cruising around in my friends Chrysler Cirrus because it had the room. See I love the look of the new Charger. I like the front and i really like how side shot of the quater panel. I also got this magazine with these shots and i took the page and folded it a little and with a quick glance if you take away the rear doors it looks like a mustang... anyway the market place is better for 4 doors right now.. i mean that list is good but you've gotta take away the celica because along with the mr2 is being discontinued because sales are down on them. I love 2 door cars, its all ive ever owned but for some reason, today, 4 doors is where its at and these companies are just going with the times. Remember they could have just kept the intrepid and never came out with this car but they did so enjoy it. Don't complain. I believe we are living in the best times for car people. We have 4 cylinders putting out 250hp-300hp matching historic v8's. I love it.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on that. Maybe they should have come out with a "LIMITED" production Charger couple if they worry that they won't be able to sale mass volume 2 door coupe chargers.
