"I mean how many four door muscle cars were there back in the day". Thats what I call living in the past. I now perfectly well what it means to have a hot rod or muscle car I just dont live in 1969. I believe in progress, thats what makes things better. I agree that this should have been 2 doors but its not and im not gonna be a baby and whine about an otherwise cool car just because it has 4 doors. Ill get over it and admit that it looks cool and is what dodge has really needed for awhile, along w/ the magnum. They need performance and muscular american stlying. Thats what we've got from both cars. I prefer to look at the bright side.

My question is, is it the DESIGN or the NAME that you guys dont like? I mean I think the Design looks great, yes yes we all know CHARGERS ARE TWO DOORS and to be honest thats getting a little old. Sometimes change is needed to distinguish yourself from the other cars out there. I truly dont see the problem with this being called a Charger. I know some of you are deep within your opinons about this issue but mine is that what makes the car isnt the Name, I dont think what made the older Chargers really Chargers was that they were called chargers, i think it was the fact that they were, in performance, chargers. This car if it is a performer deserves to be called the charger. Dodge truly showed their guts yet again, to release another radical change in the automotive world.

Chrysler dosn't even have to listen anymore then. They have forced you to like this car because its the only thing they have to offer, you shouldn't like the car just because its dodge. I think we should all just sit back and say nothing then, just let Chrysler build anything they want. By sitting back and not giving any advice from the people that buy cars isn't a good plan for any car company. Im not whining about anything Im giving my opinon of what can help the company be better. Making a four door family charger is not good marketing. I wouldn't be so pissed off if this car was called a Magnum sedan. Which I think would have been better so you can save the charger for a tire mashing 2 door mustang/ GTO killer. p/s theres no bright side to a Family sedan Charger. Its all bad.

I do agree with one thing challengersrule said, change is good. So why bring out another 4 door sedan that 1. you already sell(300), and 2. so does everyone else. Wow big change you replace a 4 door, with a 4 door. WOO HOO! Creed should be shown the door, and if dieter doesn't, then he should be shown it as well. I will say the side view is not bad, but that front yuck! Oh yeah the new galant called, it wants its rear end back! Joe

Chrysler never forced me to like this car, I dont even understand where you came up with that point. I dont like this car based soley on the fact that it is a Dodge. I was simply stating my opinon. I just think that the car is a nice looking car. I also do not think that you guys shouldnt say that you dont like it, hell you have every right too. I respect the fact that many of you have your opinons for and against the new Charger. Besides this thing really isnt over, you never know what Chrysler could do with this car. There could be a Charger coupe sometime in the future, I know I might just be dreaming buy hey, you never know. Sorry if this has come into offense to anyone, but these are my opinons take them or leave them.

I was trying to say that since this is the only Dodge full size car (not wagon ) that they make, people are forced to live with it because dodge dosn't have anything else in that class. There can't be just one full size car in a division, how can a company grow if they make one car. Dodge needs to give the consumers options. Full size wagon, good start. Make a sedan, in which they are doing. And make a sporty tire mashing 2 door car that is affordable. Make this car the Magnum sedan, I have no problem with at all. Its just not a Charger.

Look at the SRT4, WRX, Lancer EVO -- all 4-door cars that are cool rides to my generation (mid 20's). And they all keep up with the new Mustang GT, which is hardly a slow car. Check the cover of the Motor Trend that new Charger appears in -- 3 400HP American cars. They're the CTS-V, 300C SRT8, and GTO. Only one has just 2 doors. Cool cars don't have to be 2-doors anymore. I like coupes as much as the next guy but I'd rather have this car as a sedan that has a chance in the marketplace than 2-door that might not have that chance. I think it's pretty cool actually. If I were in the market for a big sedan I'd definitely give this car a look.

exactly. the market wants sedans. maybe not all of it, or the older part of it, but the current, and future generations want sedans. i as well as alot of people my age drive sedans over coupes, why because they make more sense. if we can get the same performance out of both, whats the point of the inconvenience of a coupe. i know if i had money right now, and i was looking at a car, i would by a sedan over a coupe. 2 door charger vs 4 door 300, i would have to choose the 300. same performance, but less inconvenient. do looks really matter that much? this is a great looking car. u don't like it because it has 4 doors, not 2. other then that I'm sure most people like this design. so if the design is appealing, and it performs the same as a coupe, what is the problem. muscle cars are known for their power, and performance, not 2 doors or 4.

Its simple, I think this car is ugly. The design of it has no flow. I wasn't looking for another 4 door family car from chryslers sporting division. I think the viper should be a four door too with the same front end of the new charger. You know, make it more pratical. Looks don;t mean much for a car, its all about being safe and making sure everyone gets to one place to another safe and sound. Oh and about the crossfire, man that thing is small. We should throw on another set of doors so people can drive their kids around all the time. BLAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm... no market for a two door? Someone needs to tell that to someone in Dearborn, because Ford is making a lot of cars nobody will buy. Please, we have enough mommy mobiles, I should know I got one actually two I did not want a four door ram but dcx killed the ext cab. There is a market out there that is virtually untapped. The mustang is running solo, yeah I know the Gets Towed Often is available as well but the styling is so boring its a disgrace. I've posted this once before on another post, if we want to play it safe we will turn into Generic Motors, five years ago. Before Lutz came on board, GM pretty much was going down the tubes. But take away the doors, that front end is just awful and like I said before the galant wants its tail end back. DCX has been dropping the ball on its last couple designs, durango...dud, dakota...dud, grand cherokee...boring, charger...2 many doors, 2 generic and ugly styling. Someone in Auburn Hills needs to wake up.

Dodge became generic along time ago. This is a new age for Dodge. The Magnum, the Charger, the SRT-4, the Ram these cars are breathing new life into Dodge, even if the Charegr has 2 extra doors the design flows perfectly well and the general shape shape of the profile resembles an old Charger (aside from the extra door). The problem is you guys fail to realize what a muscle car means TODAY. I hope your starting to understand that its not the 60's anymore, cars and the car market have drasticly changed. The only musclecars that survived are the mustang and the vette. that says alot about those cars. The charger died along time ago. That says something about the charger. I love the charger. It was my favorite car, but its gone now. Now the market calls for sports sedans. Thats what people want. just look at the numbers, they prove you wrong. just look at the cover of the new motor trend. Its ays "AMERICAN MUSCLE IS BACK!" and what cars do they have on the cover???/ a FOUR DOOR Caddy CTS-V, a FOUR DOOR 300 SRT-8 and the only coupe there is the GTO that you bash so much. I don't see the Viper. In 2 years the GTO will be an awsome looking car and you'll have nothing to say, but knowing you guys you'll be bringing up things from the current GTO to complain about. So it seems that the name " MUSCLE CAR" isn't reserved for coupes anymore. Any badass american perfromance car, regardless of the number of doors is a muscle car. The Charger looks aggressive and muscular. Its angular w/ a fastback roof, big buldging rear fenders and a sharknose. Not to mention the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of a true muscle car, the perfromance power to earn respect. For me its not about the number of doors. Its about dodge putting out a car that can get the streets back from all these weak imports and earn Dodge the respect it once had as a dominating force on all the racing circuts.
