Default Weird Starting Problem?!?!

ok when my truck is cold and has been sitting it will take a long time to fire up. I figured out that if i turn my key on and let the gas guage turn on the the reading of the tank then i start it, it will fire. (kinda like glowplugs in a diesel). Whats the deal lol?

Default RE: Weird Starting Problem?!?!

I had the same problem and it was the fuel pump. Starts right up now. Pretty easy to change if you need to do it yourself, dealership wanted about $700.00 to do the work.
Of course I think I screwed up the float when I installed the pump because now I get 260 miles to half a tank, when I fill it up I've actually used 19 gallons, oops....
