the 94 318 magnums are tough little engines. I ran mine through water sucked in a hell of a lot of water, took about 30 minutes of cranking the engine over with the plugs out to get all the water pumped out. put it all back together, changed my oil and its running perfect. put some injector cleaner through it and now i have more power and better gas milage than before.

thats for damn sure man. i love these trucks. mines about to turn 121,000 miles and shes still running like a champ *knocks on wood* ive been thinking about if my engine took a crap on me one day, i wanna put a 12 valve in my Dak...does anybody know if its possible? i know the front suspension would need to be beefed up...

im at 130k. engine bay might not be long enough for it, but i donno you could always put the radiator in the back.

yeah..i dont know, but if you ask me, i think it would be sweet to have a diesel in a dak.

That would be awsome to do if you had a diesel you could swap with and dodge ain't gonna put one in there either now that I read in motor trend there gonna be discontinuing the dakota in 4-5 years

Interesting idea. Except for needing to swap the computer, tranny, fab mounts and driveshaft, creative wiring for the gauge cluster, beefing up the front suspension, strengthening the rearend to take the torque, and making it all fit there shouldn't be any problem making it work.
