the 94 318 magnums are tough little engines. I ran mine through water sucked in a hell of a lot of water, took about 30 minutes of cranking the engine over with the plugs out to get all the water pumped out. put it all back together, changed my oil and its running perfect. put some injector cleaner through it and now i have more power and better gas milage than before.

Interesting idea. Except for needing to swap the computer, tranny, fab mounts and driveshaft, creative wiring for the gauge cluster, beefing up the front suspension, strengthening the rearend to take the torque, and making it all fit there shouldn't be any problem making it work.

its only the 4cyl diesel shouldnt need to beef up the rear end if the trucks has the 8.25" axle under it, i think it would take the torque those are strong axles

Anything's possible with enough money, 12 valve would definitely be a challenge, space, power to strength ratio, etc. at 121k, you've got plenty more left (knocking on wood) in that engine

as soon as airmanbeard said it might be a little long, i thought about a 4cyl. diesel.  what kind of power do they put out anyway?
