Default Loose steering

It is on a 85 W100. The steering is tight turning right but turning left it is very loose. The pump is connected correctly and the hoses are good. What can I do to fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Loose steering

Get a buddy to sit in the truck and turn the steering wheel back and forth while you watch where the steering shaft connects to the gear box. If the shaft moves before the box input shaft(which it probably will)then the shaft needs to be rebuilt(little box where shaft connects to steering gear), or replaced. Id recommend the Borgeson shaft, it is pricey but well worth it.
