Default Rear end swap, will rims fit?

Getting tired of the one wheel peels, so I found a ford 9inch that'll fit and I was wondering if regular dakota bolt pattern would work with it?
have to get a stronger rear end if I want to start launching with it. And I know the trannys strong enough. The 904's almost brand new.

Some fords listed does have the older 5 lug stly 5x4.5 ButI dont know if any have the 9in in it.Check out http://www.okoffroad.com/editorial-boltpattern.htm
http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse...._Reference.cfm
But ford wheels are easy to find. The 8.25 can take a sh*t load of abuse. I run that thing hard with a locker and a high horsepower engine with rock crawling to drag strip to anything you can think of absolutly noproblems. It would be hard to brake someithing in that (with it correctly set up that is!) There are locker options along with ratios up to4.54 or higheravilble. In one of the 4x4 mags. said its compairable to the dana 44. But if you want to do the ford swap show us some pics.

yours is a 5 lug right mini? even if it is the older 5 lug dakotas have a 5x4.5 bolt pattern, and i think the 9 inch is a 5x5 or 5x5.5, but i am sure strange or moser could make axels for that bolt pattern because it is that same as a mustang!

yeah the 9inch's are 5 bolt, my buddy uses them in his demo cars, and I have 3 to choose from, a 21 spline, 28spline and 36 spline.

Not sure which diff ur asking about mini but here is the 8.25 lockers ect. 309 Brand new lsd, 375 locker. I might be wrong but I belive there might be an selectable lockerout there too. I have the NoSliphttp://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...47&NeXID=5

Ford 9in 379 LSD 225 full locker
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...mp;Nao=0#rstop

Which ever axle you go for I would sugest a full locker insted of a LSD. A locker will give 50-50. a lsd can give around 25-75.

i need a sure grip bad in mine, the 318 ha a little more torque than the v6, my brand new 275/60/15 radial t/a is deminishing every blib the throttle, lol. but i think i will go with a posi, because i want to auto cross with mine too, so i need it to slip a little in the turns.

yeah that sure-grip looks alright for what i want to do, posi in a straight line and a bit of slip in the corners for regular street application. the locker would be nice but expensive ^^ . I know i have the 8.25 in mine, so I might as well just beef it up without the hasle of an entire swap
