Default Fuel Pump

My husband has determined that the fuel pump in our Neon is going out. I have been told that it only takes 1.6 hours to replace the pump. I am wondering if anyone knows how you get to the pump? We have been thinking we would have to drop the tank but in 1.6 hours I would think there is another way. Any ideas would be appreciated

Default RE: Fuel Pump

Are you using a lift? When I did it it took about an hour, with a lift. Taking the tank off would be easier.
