I have changed many of these assemblies on front wheel drive cars. My question, is that I have the 8/80 with a hundred dollar deductible. I don't know if this would be covered under the warranty, but, if it is, do you all think I could do it cheaper than $100 ? On the front wheel drive cars, we only changed the bad assembly, so I imagine it would be the same with the 4x4 ? It isn't like the ball joints as to where if the upper or lower goes bad, you might as well change them both ? I'd like to get some input from someone who's done the repair. Thanks
You can get a wheel bearing on ebay for like 100 bucks if it's not ABS, if it is, they sell for around 150... You can try. But if it's covered a 100 bucks is cheaper... Plus you don't have to go about busting your knuckles...
