View Full Version : My new truck damaged! grrr
dodgegirl24 04-07-2008, 12:22 AM So I went away for the weekend with the boyfriend. Come back and find my truck moved and blue tape all over the taillight. Found out that my dad took my truck and ran into a brick mailbox. He blamed it on the tint that I just got, but its like standard tint color. Also he cracked the bumper and scratched the paint(grrrrr). I guess I should of took the spare key. The funny thing is that he did the same thing with my jeep commander. Thank goodness he is gonna take it in to repair the damages.

Night_Runner 04-07-2008, 02:14 AM well, if you want different taillights, now is the best time. it sucks but when you wreck your car, its a great time for upgrades

lghtngblt02 04-07-2008, 11:30 AM Ouch, what a way to end the weekend, huh? [&:]
graythang 04-07-2008, 04:07 PM Hell I don't even let my wife drive the truck. She’s one of those people who will say "aha it's a truck" type of attitude and thinks nothing of a scratch or a ding. I even park it in the yard to keep it away from her Saturn doors.
superdak05 04-08-2008, 02:41 AM well, i guess that cherries popped. i dont let tara drive my truck either. she drives a little ford focus that she can park anywhere. plus she goes to walmark, k-mark, minority mart, everywhere and anywhere. people just dont respect other peoples property anymore
turbot_bird 04-08-2008, 03:31 AM A week after I got my truck I was at school and a guy in a focus pulled in the spot next to me. I was sitting in the truck waiting for my next class when he opened his door and slammed it into my passenger front door then stood there and looked at me. I dont know how..... but somehow when I got out of my next class there was a scratch from hood to hatch on his passenger side...........
graythang 04-08-2008, 05:40 AM You where kind. Me that Focus would be missing it's owner.

Damn man. What if it was truely an accident, and he was just eyeing you to see if you noticed? I would have just jumped out of my truck right then and got his insurance information. Done deal. Arent you a bit paranoid now when you park in that parking lot? Thinking that kid may know why his hood got scratched and will return the favor?
turbot_bird 04-08-2008, 09:35 AM dont go to that school anymore
dodgegirl24 04-08-2008, 03:31 PM Well I'm taking it in thursday to get it repaired. I can't drive a new vehicle with some kind of damage on it :-P.
Where is a good place to buy tires. I dont want to spend too much on them. I was looking into the BF goodrich all terrain ones.
Altair 04-08-2008, 11:58 PM They're not as good as the BFG's but if you're looking to save money the All Country Radial LXT's are pretty good and they're cheap. My parents have been putting them on the company trucks lately and the guys say they go great in the snow.

Shibby927 04-12-2008, 04:57 AM That sucks, tint is no excuse for bad driving! LoL I've made it back and forth on my 100 mile a day to trips I used to make to my old workplace without a driver's side mirror for months and I never backed into any mailboxes or hit anything! Mad skillz! Jk... anyways its like the sign says "stuff" happens.
