Yea, I was going to sell the truck, but it is more feasible and cheaper for me to just do a engine drop! Also very cool to do, because il have a one of a kinda ish trucks.

Tonight is what I did:
Engine Prep
Remove air box. (Pain must I say some dumb stuff you just have to yank or something... lol)
Remove wiring harness from the panel. (Need to re hook because im dumb and forgot to de-pressurize the fuel lines..), But thats only a minor set back.
Removed ac and Power Steering. (Everything else is coming with the engine.)
Since I got a complete engine, (Not one thing missing. All I have to do is disconnect and connect the major wires from everything, than drop!)
I think I might have the 3.9 out in an hour or two. If I can find a way to de-pressurize the fuel lines without connecting that would be great.

Chris

Just wondering, but how do most of you tackle the top bolts (Transmission side, for the engine. They are in such a hard spot) I am pretty much at the point of removing the starter, than the bolts from engine to tranny. Thats it and she is out! I got the fuel line off, starter is a pain already I tried but I think I have to remove the bracket that is in the way... :S But I will get it done it once before already...

Ahh man this is bad ass.....keep us updated....I really want to find a shop in the area surrounding me so I can get this done too....I was going to sell my 03'QC but I really only hate this truck because it lacks all sorts of power because of the 3.9L especailly because im ALWAYS towing....if I had the v8 I would be happy....has any of the other members done a swap of this sort....I wish they would chime in and give some suggestions....

Il go take some pictures of the engine disassembled to where it is now today. It will be pretty easy swap, nothing too complicated.
