RE: 3.9 to 5.9 Swap - 4/15/2008 11:51:32 PM    varsis Posts: 1254 Joined: 10/8/2006 Status: offline Just a few more things to do: Mount bolt/nut each side AC onto engine (Easy as PIE) Throttle Cable from v8, need one of those! two bolts which I just can't get in, because of the bracket.... Starter tranny wiring from engine(half done.) Everything Just about. Just a few things on my end I got lazy about... Before removal Before removal Before removal Removal of Air hat/Ac/Power Steering (Next 2 pictures includes) All of the tools/Computer ect... sitting around. v6 on it's way out! v6 on it's way out! v6 on it's way out! V8 ready to go in! Me beside engine A friend who helped beside engine Showing weights on flex plate (Needed for this swap) Empty Engine bay... V8 seated well almost! V8 IN! No more pictures because well thats all there is to show, but maybe a video soon! Couple of problems I ran into: Harness on my v6 was altered for some reason PDC didn't work for the transmission. (I had to wire it myself but took me a bit to figure it out.) Crank Sensor (Mine was either dirty or broken.) Just took the one off the v6. All new Plugs NGK v-power. New Cap and Rotor. Soon to come : A better exhaust.... Hella Lights! (I already have these...) Fog Lights Electric Fan to cool a bit more Maybe new rims and Tires 3inch body lift! Maybe? Thats about it for new, but it is already a beast. I have 31's and can squeal them on the pavement. If there is a big of gravel...
