well finally got around to finishing my HIDS, can i say OMG i can drive with only fogs on and its still brighter then anything else, a must have install on ur truck or anything... .i recommend them 100% from seeing them on a SRT8 jeep and mine now very impressed!@

Yeah I bought some 8500k bulbs off of ebay for like $10, just because they were cheap.  They are okay when the weather is perfect at night and you are out on a completely dark highway/interstate with no streetlights around.  It was pouring rain the first night I used them and I couldn't see a damn thing and street lights seem to just wash them out.  I would go with HIDs just make sure you buy a full kit because without all the proper components I think you can melt wires using just hid bulbs.

u cant just use HID bulbs u need the ballasts and everything else and trust me what u just described is what was happening to me and i put the hids in and now i over power everything!
