Hello, I have a 2006 Dodge Charger 2.7L that I just bought a month ago and it shifts very hard sometimes.  I live in Seattle, where there is a lot of stop and go traffic.  When I lightly accelerate or decelerate, shifting from first to second (or second to first) is kind of jerky in this stop and go traffic.  If I accelerate a little more rapidly, the shifting is smooth.  It also seems to shift slightly hard from second to first when I brake quickly.  Is this normal, or should I take it in for a look?  Also, this is the first automatic that I have ever owned, so I'm not sure how they behave.

Just want to know if this is accross the board, or if it's unique.  I appreciate the input.

I have a 2.7 and mine is suffering from the same problem. I'm thinking its because the transmission can't handle the 22's I got on them. It has only 37,000 miles and its already mis-shifting and shifting terrible. Sometimes it doesn't act up and sometimes it does. The specks of the rims are 22x11inch on the with and my rims have a 5 inch lip. Good thing I have the warranty of 60,000 miles thru the dealer and the rims came with the car so....yeah do you have rims on your Charger?

No, I have stock rims.  The entire car is 100% stock.  I drive like a grandma, so there shouldn't be any mechanical problems from me either.
