Default Raider Baja Truck

A team ran a sick Raider in the Baja 1000 this year. I love the look...maybe a little lift action going on; but it's 4WD Stock Class so they are probably not permitted to do much. If only I had the cash to deck out my Dakota like that.

that Raider looks great. And to finish third is not bad in that race!

Hell yeah. Baja Rules...I'm not sure how many engineers are in this forum, but if anyone is an SAE Mini Baja alumni, you know what I'm talking about...

Anyone who likes that Raider should watch Dust to Glory; its an awesome documentary about the race; they cover everything from the famous Trophy Trucks, to the 2WD Buggies, the bikes, the stock class, and the "Class 11" stock VW Beetles. The dudes who drive like they're on PCP in 1000HP trucks with 30 inches of shock travel think the Class 11 guys are nuts...what does that tell you

Nice link man. Check out this for a buildup photo gallery - this comes from one of our bretheren on Dodge Talk

http://www.deionline.com/mitsu/

I'm sure suspension limit straps are key for the front CV's...the front A-arm's are bone-stock, and half those race pics are of the truck with one or both front wheels in the air (aka full droop), with an extra80 LBS of wheel and tire up front.

The Dakota's 4WD ability gets shat on left and right, and granted there aren't bolt on kits to turn it into a trail monster, but the clever cat with a MIG anda littledoughcould easily turn our trucks into something that can run with the best of 'em. 3rd place in-class at the Baja 1000 is no joke.

Ibelieve they stop the suspension from over extending...the opposite of bump stops (I think that is the term)...
