hello everyone i have a 1987 dodge d100 i have stripped parts off of to rebuild my 87 dodge d150 which is still a work in progress if you need a part and i have it i will sell it to ya.i still need money for other things i dont have usable parts for.i also have a complete engine i pulled myself out of a 82 dodge prospector which was running when i pulled it last year, i think it would be a good one to rebuild it is a 318(canadian built i think) the truck was used on a sweet potato farm most of its life. the 87 d100 still has the tranny in it and works good or it did when i parked it back in september 2007 i noticed the torque converter has slipped out somewhat and the fluid has drained everywhere after i pulled the motor and the cable i used to tie it up with strectched.the truck was used as a local pest control vehicle so it has been well used also. remember to think about shipping when you seek parts i live in northeastern mississippi. thank ya lots.

I would part it out, you`ll make much more than $150. The vent galss alone sells for $85, $150 per door. You can get alot more by selling parts.

Check with your local salvage yard before you haul anything in.  They are paying $120-175 a ton here in Kansas right now.  Some of the places calculate the weight off of the title which is pretty much a rip off.  The places you want are the ones where they weigh the trailer/truck going in and the trailer coming out and pay you for actual weight.  You can also throw scrap metal in with it.  I'm going to be hauling in some stuff for my uncle soon and have collected washers, driers, water heaters, etc. to throw in the back of a van we are junking.

I just got a parts truck for the cost of gas to pick it up.  A friend of mine's dad had it.  Ran and drove fine except for a tranny leak when it was parked a couple of years ago.

thanks for the info pushnfords, looks like you got a nice ram there. you should refurb it......our scrap yard pays by wieght here they weigh you goin in and coming out and yes i plan on putting as much as i can on it when i go....they are paying 100 dollars a ton as of monday when i talked to the crane operator there.

Yea, I hate to use that '85 as a parts truck.  Rust free, highly optioned, one dent in the passenger rocker panel etc.  But I need a 4wd.  So the plan is to put the cab, engine, and front clip on my 4wd frame.  I'd love to swap the bed too but when the PO put the flatbed on my truck they cut off the rear of the frame rail to make it fit!
