P1494 (M) Leak Detection Pump Sw or Mechanical Fault Incorrect input state detected for the leak detection pump (LDP) pressure switch.

I looked at mine, the hose leads to under the fuse box.

Look under the battery for the purge solenoid. It should have 2 hoses coming off of it. One of these hoses goes to the fitting in the picture....

ok, so this is weird.

After hooking up a Vacuum line I found dangling on the engine(with a big split in the end), I reconnected it to the empty port on the intaqke.
Now, the truck runs terrible for the first few minutes...
When I first started it yesterday after reconnecting th eline, I couldn;t believe how badly it stumbled: I thought honestly that ti was going to stall...
It seemed to work it self out..
Could this mean that the 'pump' gizmo under the fuse box is bad?
I am baffled as to why hooking up the line made life worse....
Logic dictates that if I UNHOOKED the vacuum line, and left it open, that it would be back to where it was & would actually run better...doesn't make sense to moi...

ugh...
any suggestion is welcomed...

RG:

The system has to relearn the fact that this hose is now hooked back up which will stabilize the vaccum. If you need to speed the process up, do a battery disconnect reset by removing the negative cable and depressing the brake pedal for a min or so.

Then, hook back up and go for a drive. System should relearn its parameters and all should be fine.

ray doode, does yours have the emission control system that mine does?
I was just told that since the truck came from MASS,that explains why it has this system(they're strict apparently)
