RE: check this out guys (especially those without the center opening console)
Same question as above. Where did you get it and how much did you pay? I wennt to the dealer and was quoted soemthing like $600 for all the individual parts because it does not come as an assembly.

That is pretty sweet, looking forward to the writeup, would like to see pics from the front and maybe open. I'm curious as to how you open and close it. looks good though. good job.

it actually just lifts open, no latch mechanism or anything.
i was worried that it would bounce up and down while driving, it's does budge. but, i left the front area open (in case i wanna buy the oem latch, and it would be easy to attach the oem rear hinge as well.
RE: check this out guys (especially those without the center opening console)
well as everyone including myself has said, congrats on the new mod....its gonna give you like +10000 hp...but seriously, turned out pretty good...and now that i know i have a center console....its time to start hacking away
RE: check this out guys (especially those without the center opening console)
the only thing i don't like, is all the exposed staples. lol.
i originally made a "case" for the top part. but when i sewed up the material for the bottom section, i ended up getting a better vinyl, and was like, "oh, i could make another case for the top". then i figured what the hell, let's just expose the staples liek i did on the bottom. i'll figure something out one of these days to cover then up.
this ****ign **** took me like 4 attempts of trial and error. and OH MY GOD at all the different hinge setups i tried. then i said "phuque it...3" door hinges will work!"
