I am just curious to what the biggest wheel size anyone has ever seen on a 1st gen. Durango was. I have seen 23" rims, has anyone ever seen 24"? Do you think with modification it could work?

Just curious....

23 inch tires? now 24 inch tires? I can imagine a durango with those tires. My imaginary picture looks like overkill! haha. I did see some with 20 inch rims riding on 55 series tires and it looks nice. One of the aftermarket rim maker even make a OEM exact look alike of the original 17 inch R/T rims but in 20 inch size!! Looks very nice and maintain that OEM look!! I think the set ran around $1600-$1800 bucks. Not sure, but close to that figure.

I got 20's on mine with 40 series. That is the biggest you can do with the stock supsension. No way in hell you get get 23's on a 1st gen durango without some kinda suspension work. Even so that would looki like crap, I mean a jacked up D with 23's? Gay . My D is posted below with 20"s.

No, you can fit 23" rims on a 1st gen Durango without any modification at all. It all depends on what style the rim is. A lot of guys throw some stupid looking stuff under their rides and it looks terrible. I was just wondering because I seen 24"rims on a 1st gen. Durango at the last SEMA show. As far as being "gay" hmmmm.......... But anyways, your lil 20's look good though.

Kensai- I did see the 20's you are talking about, they sell them in silver, chrome and white. They look very nice!

Check out this link if anyone wants to see what the aftermarket 20 inch R/T rims looks like!!! He even have a pic that has the 20 inch side by side with the stock 17 inch. Everything identical except that it is 20 inches! His Durango is sweet too! I need to find out where he got the LED taillights as I would love to mask out my lights with the Dark tint covers that would blend in perfectly with my Black Durango R/T.

Hey man people might hate on the bigger rim size but IT IS WHATS IN... Personally I have 20's but I plan to do a 3" lift with so 305/40/22's or 325/40/22's. I may go 4's depending on the tire size I hate "flats"_"skinny tires"... Check me out @ cardomain... Please rate high!
