Default hey i need help with my intake

(2002 dodge neon ES)Iwas thinking of using spectra's cold air intake system.is there anyway i can take out the huge box and put in an air intake system.i know there alot better with less restriction but it has two sensors so if i take them out i dont wana mess up anything.im doing it this weekend so i need help asap.i dont want my check engine light to come on or codes come up.so do you guys think i could take the sensors out without it doing anything???

Also I wont be on to reply till nightime...thanx and peace out guys

Unless I'm forgetting something, theres only one sensor on the intake side after the TB and thats the IAT...in which case every CAI seup has a bung already installed so you can just plug it in. Check out this for me details on intakes (with instructions) and other stuff:

the spectre kit, where it has the catalog showing you what pieces to buy, you need an extra piece to fit the sensor. its a three inch long piece that has three holes along the side with caps on them. you remove one cap to fit the sensor and remove another cap for the oil recirc. the third stays capped. hope this helps. i used the same setup until i got my intercooler piping kit.

yea i used the stock pipe to connect that and just took the box out for a short intake.it sounds better.eventually i will go to turbo but not untill summer.i appreciate the help...
