Hi,

I searched around and couldn't find the answer so here goes.
I've been wanting to upgrade my 6disk radio with the Mygig from ones found on ebay. I know its a simple plug n play but there seems to be a couple choices and they are confusing me.
Some ebay sellers are listing two different model numbers for sale and to make sure to ask for the right one. They are listingmost all 2008 chrysler and dodge models including the avenger. Many are listing these numbers.

MODEL# P05064401AH
or
MODEL # P05064405AI

So which one is the right one?
BTW. I am looking to get the RER Mygig version for an 08 R/T Avenger with factory U-connect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that the second number you listed is a typo and should be "...4401AI" (not 4405AI).

Both 4401AH and 4401AI apply to the 2008 Sebring; the "AI" is alater revision. Chrysler does not provide achangelog for any differences butin thiscasethey are probablyvery minor.

As far as UConnect goes you will need a special harness that will not be released until May. For vehicles that came with the factory UConnect mirror, the required adaptor harness will be p/n 82211666 (MSRP $105.00).

The Dodge Avenger's CAN bus speed for the radio is 83.3k. Newer Dodge/Chrysler cars use 125k.

BTW, there is an REN myGIG on eBay right now for $475. Basically you get everything but navigation. If you really want navigation then get the RER.

Most of the2008 vehicleshave the 83.3k bus radios. The only vehicles using 125k are the Liberty, Nitro, Wrangler and minivans.

I just spoke with the local Dodge parts dept and they checked and said that both the PO5064401AH and the PO5064401AI version willwork withthe 2008 Avenger. Milous, you were right. the AI is just a newer version.
My RER Mygig is on the way as well as the complete Mygig Lockpick and rear camera. Cant wait toinstall it all.

Thanks again guys.

I was talking about the "New Models". Don't forget the New Dodge Journey and Dodge RAM is also a 125k CAN-I bus. My point was that if it's a New Model then it's going to be 125k.

It's interesting though that the all-new '07Avenger/Sebring has the 83.3, but other recent all-new '07 vehicles (Liberty/ Wrangler) have the 125k. And the all-new '08Challenger has the 83.3 bus, although that may make sense since the Challenger is based off ofthe existingLX platform.
