Hey, new to the forum, love the forum, what a help! Any way i have a 2000 dodge intrepid, of course the 2.7, with 54,000m. Everything has been well maintained. Then a sudden knocking in the engine. Sounds like the top compartment. I read a lot of posts about the 2.7 and its problems. Ok i decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, maybe a bad lifter or something. I did a full flush, pulled the pan and oil screen. didnt look to bad though it was quite a pain. All back together and same old noise. Actually i used a quart of lucas too! Just wondering if my engine is done already or would it be worth going in the top or whatever advice anyone has. Thanks.
