hmmm. well it isnt really fair for me to say either way. But Ithink that"oil all over motor" sounds kinda nasty. mines got leaky valve cover gaskets so maybe its just that. but still.... try to find out why theres oil everywhere, is it from bottom, top, side etc. (new valve covers are like 50, a block leaking oil is 1000+ to fix so its worth figuring out).
rust isnt normally such a big deal with these.
find out the mileage
i payed 1500 for mine. no rust, withcertified and emissions passed. it had no rust, no big problems, and a bit of faded paint. its a 91 with 100,000 miles. I figure this was a fair price. that was in january. ive since replaced a $1.50 spring to make some silly linkage from the throttle to the transmission work and thats it (i need to get those covers though). anyhow, theres a a price ballpark so you can have an idea of what to pay. I would say if the miles arent too high, and you spend no more than 1000 to buy it and make it roadworthy, then your doing OK i guess. Its really hard to say from here sodont take any of this as gospel. i guess you best bet is to browse internet adds and see what others are paying

he will not come down bc it is a small/cheap car lotand a junk yard.they use the truck for taking parts to the recycle place and the bed was very oily.i have looked at 3 full size trucks dodge and all 3 had oil caked on the oil pan.this is the one i want bc of the motor(318) and auto and air.dont care for the long bed.the other one i saw was 4550.00 and it was a 81 slant 6,stick shift and nothing else, short bed.the bed was beat up and had some rust in bed and both wheel wells and rust bad.i did not like it.i may have found another one and hope to check on it monday.it is a short bed and stick shift and no a/c.it did have carpet and had a dent/cut on back fender from bumper pushed in and cut it and front bumper was bent in some.very nice body though, and the motor looked better underneath.i want 1 with a/c,p/s and a 318,short bed auto
dont just jump on it cus it has every thingyou want look around and if u dont get that one then you wernt ment to have it in the past year i look at about 300 different trucks and the one i got was the best deal i found yes it needs work but hey it was freeand i was really looking for for a newer one with the 360 and lots of other stuff but i took this one insteadcus i know i can make it look sweet just as much as a newer one lol
where i live at people dont get rid of the older stuff like these trucks.i want a dodge and i wanted a dakota and they are high in price and then i thought about the full size.i found 2 but the one i did not like and the 318 i do.i placed a ad to be out wed about buying a dodge truck.i found a tail gate at a junkyard in town for $100.00.if/when i sell the nissan i will go there and look at that truck better and see if he will come down on the price bc of the tailgate and the tires.hopefully i will own a dodge this weekend

No I bought mine for $800. 86 W100, 111k miles & a good set of tires. Just needed some routine maintenance and some patch panels over the rear wheel wells. Can't complain for the price.
