Hi Everybody,
I am new to forums, and I have been going thru posts for 2 weeks now trying to see if anyone else out there is having the same problem we are having with our Stealth.  So I thought what the heck they all seem nice enough that I would register and just ask you guys if you have any ideas.
The trouble we are having is that when you take off as long as you stay on it thru 1st, 2nd, and 3rd it is fine but when you get to about 50 or 55 and shift to 4th it's OK  unless you have to speed up then it sputters (like your driving in to high of a gear, shakes the whole car), but once you hit 3000 RPMs it runs fine and unless I want to drive 90 (maybe some day, not yet) never mind putting it into 5th.  We have checked for codes but it shows normal state.  The spark plugs are fairly new along with wires, also fairly new fuel filter. The timing belt has also been replaced.  It pretty much seems like anything under the 3000 mark is when it does this.  Thank you in advance if anyone replies.

I dont know if this is the same problem your having, but a while ago my car wouldnt go past 4000 RPM's when flooring it, in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I went to get it checked and they told me the spark plug gaping was off, got new spark plugs with the recommened gap size, and fixed that problem for good :) Hope this help in anyway, maybe the spark plugs you got were the wrong gapping.

We bought the car from a friend and he is the one who put the plugs in, he said the were the right gapping, but that is something we can check.  My car runs better over 3000 rpms.  We are going to check the exhaust and everything this weekend.  It seems to be running rich also.  When you start it or sitting idling you can smell the fumes.  We also ordered some capacitors just in case it turns out to be the ECU.  Thanks for replying, every little bit helps.
