Hey all, I just bought my 2001 R/T Durango a few weeks ago. The day I drove it away from the Volvo mechanic I bought it from, the engine light came on. I took it back to the guy, he said he's never seen it before, and pulled the above code. He said it may have had something to do with some fuel injector cleaner he had put in the tank a few days prior. He cleared the code, told me to run a few tanks of gas to flush the system, and let him know if the light was still on. (It came back about 25miles later). I did that, and about 400 miles later, the light went off.

About 50 miles later, it came back on again, and it's reading the same code. The performance doesn't seem to be affected, and we're averaging about 15mpg in mixed driving. I can clear the code, but then it comes on again after about 25 miles. Any idea what might be causing this?

Sounds like an 02 sensor on its way out. How many miles on the D???  As long as you don't have driveability issues, you can leave it be if you want. Myself, I would buy a new one and put it in.

They are $75-$100 depending on where you pick them up.
