It's odd that yahoo reports it that way, when everything I've been hearing says that shut downs are coming due to a major strike affecting parts suppliers.

well, its not what it seems im assuming. i mean, it is to save $$, but its also in part that vacation thing i suppose. i know many, many people who worked/work at GM in parma, ohio who got these 2 weeks vacations. so maybe chrysler is doing the that. the article does say that the big 3 do that. but it says usually in july. so i dunno. hopefully its a good thing.

I hope that they can pull up their sales in the near future. I love the cars and trucks.

You bring up a valid point. What if cerberus looks at the situation, and says "those lifetime warranties are costing us a mint, let's close chrysler and roll it's models into dodge", what happens to chrysler warranties?

Don't know, don't want to know. Gonna get a different vehicle in Colorado, but heck, all the US automakers are in deep kimchi..... Dusty
