Hi guys

I finally retired my Stealth (DOHC R/T Non-Turbo) after 160,000 miles.
I plan on pulling the engine this week-end (Got everything disconnected) and do an inspection.

What are the determining factors for buying a rebuild engine, getting a new block or rebuild the current engine ?

I have all the time in the world to get this done, and resources come with the paychecks :)

My goal is to "rebuild" the entire front end and here are the two major issues I've found before even looking at the engine.

The engine harness is dry-rotted and connectors are rusted (Couldn't find new one, but E-Bay seems to have them in good conditions)
I can NOT disconnect the steering rod and the other two ends...not sure what to call them. The bearings are pressed. Do I need a press on the spot ?
Found that every single bearing in the front-end has the plastic split in two...definately bad.

I will use this thread to post my progress. If the admin doesn't mind :)

If your engine didn't have any problems, no reason to not rebuild it.

By all means, please use this thread to document your progress.  Pictures would be nice too.
