help, carter thero-quad model numbers

Can anyone help me with this I have a thermoquad i took off a 1971 newsport sport, 383 hi-per, the carb i removed from the motor has these numbers on the bottom left tang, 77S - 01879, on the top of the carb there is 6-2473, i think this may be a build date?
I don't think this is the orginal carb that came with the car! Can anyone help me with finding out this. and what cfm it is.

6-2473 is just the upper bowl cover casting number, the ID number will probably be 4 digits followed by an "S". it should be on the lower left rear bolt flange. Earlier TQs also had a tag under one of the front bowl cover screws, later ones have a bar code sticker on the bowl cover with the Carter model and/or a Chrysler part number. International Harvester TQs also have a tag under a front bowl cover screw. The only thing I can find that has "77S" is

Thanks, I have since found a tag that was on it, the number is 6193, I believe this may be a holley carb number?

There is a Holley 4 barrel identified with the number R6193; the application listed for it is a 71 383 with manual tranny. They didn't start using thermoquads on big blocks until 72.

6193 is not a TQ number, do you have a pic of the carb?

I thought it made be a holley carb number(6193) which i found on the red tag on the carb. it does say carter thermoquad on the carb and the numbers etched on the left rear tang(base). i'll post pics tomorrow.
