Default performance vs. stock clutch

im stuck in between which one to get for my '03 dodge neon sxt...i got it used and i put a lil more wear and tear on the clutch myself and would like to get a new one. would the stock one last long enough and or withstand above average operation? is the performance clutch overdoing it and is not necessary? please help.
the price difference is about $340

the performance one i'd like to get.

Default RE: performance vs. stock clutch

Unless your really into autox and/or drag racing your Neon, or plan on turbocharging it, then I would save the money and simply buy an OEM clutch. No reason why it cant stand up to normal wear and tear along with some hard lauches here and there for tens of thousands of miles.

Default RE: performance vs. stock clutch

Personally I'm going to go with a Fidanza lighten flywheel so I can use one of their non-modular clutch set-ups. Probably the Stage 4.2 which is suppose to be good for up to 300 hp so I'll be covered for sure using that. Also, with a non-modular clutch if the disc burns up I can simply replace the disc and not have to get the entire deal.
