Engine Code P0122 - 3/3/2008 1:32:26 PM    byebyeblue   Posts: 95 Joined: 3/29/2007 Status: offline Anybody know anything about Code P0122 "Throttle/Petal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Low Input"  likely causes, easy fix or not?  Came off my other Vehicle Jeep Grand Cherokee. _____________________________ I am still smilin' Post #: 1

RE: Engine Code P0122 - 3/3/2008 7:42:52 PM    RenoRob   Posts: 33 Joined: 11/8/2007 Status: offline  Hey I did a quick look and found a little info on it for you.-Rob THROTTLE POSITION TROUBLE SENSOR (TPS) CODES These include P0120, P01210, P0122, P0123, P0124 P0222, P0223, P0224, P0225, P0226, P0227, P0228 & P0229, and can be set if the TPS sensor readings are too high or too low (out of range), if the signal is lost, or if the signal does not correspond to the MAP sensor's readings. The TPS sensor monitors the position of the throttle so the computer can add more fuel when the engine is accelerating or under load. The computer may also need to know when the throttle is at idle or wide open to control other functions. A bad TPS can cause driveability problems such as hesitation. The sensor's resistance changes as the throttle moves, causing the return voltage signal to vary. Look for a change in the voltage output as the throttle opens and closes. No change or skips in the output would indicate a faulty TPS sensor. Also note: the idle voltage is adjustable on some TPS sensors and must be set within specifications for accurate operation. If the voltage adjustment is not within specifications, it can adversely affect performance and throttle response. _____________________________ Life is a Highway- Go Mopar!
