damn ricers - 3/1/2008 1:42:36 PM    synacism Posts: 22 Joined: 2/16/2008 Status: offline Hey guys, still looking for help.  I have a 2003 dakota R/T 5.9.  aem cold air, gibson headers and catback, chipped and thats about it i think.  Anyway my nieghborhood is full of ricers, including my boys honda SI.  I can beat it now, but he is on a mission.  I am puttting my baby on a diet this weekend, but i need more help.  Remember i am a novice so explain s-l-o-w.  Were taking them up to the dragway on the 15th so i will let you know what happens. _____________________________ Sgt. RE: damn ricers - 3/4/2008 5:50:50 PM    synacism Posts: 22 Joined: 2/16/2008 Status: offline Thanks for the advice guys.  I removed the spare, jack, backseat(ext cab), electric seat moters, and as long as its nice out i am going to dump my windshield fluid.  I am only going to fill up half way, and going to try some octane booster (i guess it cant hurt).  I called the speed shop (tillmans speed shop is great if you want to give them a try), and priced NOZ.  Actually ZEX, $685 for the kit and $350 for instalation.  I think your right about the wheels though.  I got the stock 17s with some low profile street tires right now.  Wahts a good tire for a truck with no wieght in the ass? _____________________________ Sgt. RE: damn ricers - 3/12/2008 3:45:09 PM    moe7404   Posts: 292 Joined: 7/7/2007 Status: offline     moe in wichita ks    racing my truck aganest your car proves very little.   when you talk to people about fast cars, just ask them how many of there cars/engines have won NHRAs top fuel,  SS/AH class.  these class are the heavy hitters of drag racing. the SS/AH is the FASTEST stock class. oh incase you dont know  the mopar 426 hemi donanates both class,  and have from the time these class were formed.  i was in tulsa in 1968 when Ronnie Sox raced the Hemi Cuda for the first time.  but thats an other story.
