Hey did you guys make it to the track?

Oh you could also put in lower gears in the rear end. You should have 3.92 stock ratio so maybe a 4.11 or 4.56 ratio would work. These can be very helpful if you do cam it as your motor will like a little higher rpm for its power band. Just remember that you will need a sticky tire for the launch or you will loose the race spinning the tires..........lol

I made it.  My buddy backed out.  But he said that he'll come with me this sat.  I only ran the 8th and i pulled a 9.564 (best out of three).  We'll see if he makes it this weekend.  Either way i'm going.  I'm addicted to this shit.  I 'll race once more this weekend, and then i don't get another weekend off for five weeks (work rotation).  my goal is to improve something at least every five weeks, and then race again.

get some wider tires. and a locker rear like a powertrax, and get some cal trax, you get out of the hole real quick.

if you have trouble hooking the tires up try moving some weight to the bed area.

I dont know about going CARB,  but doing a good fuel system is vital to more power.

A higher flowing fuel pump and a nice ignition are a start.

I dont agree that you HAVE to put in better pistons/rods...   but a little more compression couldnt hurt.

And the piece of mind that your motor wont go boom is another good reason to think about it.

rods and pistons are your friend when it comes to BIG power.
