Default Wish me luck

Well I just got back to school from NYC, had an interview with a company I really want to get an internship with that lasted a good part of the day on Friday and visited a friend in White Plains for the rest of the weekend. Should hopefully hear back about the internship in a week or two, I'll be so happy if I get it (it's with a company called Capital IQ, if I got it I'd be working on the 49th floor of the Standard and Poors building).

This next week or two is going to be rough though, I have a huge project due next Tuesday, another one that's already late I need to finish and an exam in my worst class Friday plus I'm absolutely exhausted so if I'm not on here much in the next week or so that's why. (If I am I shouldn't be, lol) I'll let you guys know when I get a response about the job, feel free to post encouragement (or tell me how lame I am for posting this, either one works lol ).

Good luck! That would be awesome if you worked in NYC, I'm stuck working up in Dutchess County and I live in White Plains, so I got an hour commute each day. The city is good times though cause you're always in the action.

So while you were in WP did you guys hit up any of the bars? I'm usually at Lazy Boy, James Joyce, or the Brazen Fox.

good luck. I used to work in Manhattan at 33rd and 8th (near the Garden and Penn Plaza). It is a fun place to work.

Thanks guys

Blackdak: Didn't get a chance to this time, was only in WP for 2 nights, my friend did point out one street that had a TON of bars on it as we were driving by.

As a side note, next time I go anywhere I'm driving the dak unless it's far enough that I need to fly. Between Amtrak and Metro North the actual traveling for this trip was a nightmare... I'm still exhausted this morning from all the crap I had to go through to get back (Metro North went through 15 minutes early which put me on a mad adventure of riding the subway from the top of the green line all the way to Penn Station and still missing my train, lol)

That was probably Mamarroneck Ave, I live right off of that street way down right before you enter the town of Mamarroneck, it's good times there, you should definitly go out there one night.

The trains are great for going into NYC because driving there is a bitch, but if your going anywhere North of NYC it's almost always better to just drive.

This past weekend a friend of mine went to Long Island (or Lon Giland for tri staters) from my place in north central Jersey. The train was a connector from the RARV line to Newark Penn Station, then on to NY Penn station and then the LIRR to get out on the island. The whole trip took almost 2 1/2 hours and cost something like $20 bucks each way. I was like, wtf. You could have driven there in the same time or less and for the same or less money.

I guess that's why I don't take the train!

BTW, good luck.
