Default RE: Cabin Filter Replacement

i see you havent had any replies and its been a while, so youve probably figured it out by now...if its an 07 the cabin filter goes in the black box that you can see when you open the hood and the air filter is in a box over top of the motor...any other year i wouldnt know.

Not that you need this anymore but someone else might.
This is for the CABIN filter NOT the air filter:

On the 2007 and newer models it is the big white filter that you can see on theleft side of the engine compartment (when facing the engine).

On previous years if you open the hood and look directly down from the passenger (US version)side windshield wiper arm (where it connects to the vehicle)you will see some black insulation material. There is a part in the material where it is velcroed to the fan intake side. Remove the velcro and you will see a clamp/latch holding the cabin filter housing. Push thelatch back along with the secondlatch on the back side of the housing. Then push the whole housing contraption to the right. Viola there is the cabin filter. Putting the new one in is another pain in the butt. The new filter must be wedged in pretty good before you will get the filter housing back on. It is a piss poor design and the filter and housing don't match up very well so you will need to smashthe filterin as best you can to get the housing over the it. Make sure you have the backside of the housing in the slide holders when you get it in because that is the tough side of the filter to get in as well.

GOOD LUCK
