kameetrei -> RE: Apparent electrical problems with my '95 Intrepid (2/21/2008 10:50:49 AM)

Well at current, I myself have noticed two things that probably should not occur. One was that after turning off the car on sunday, all the break lights remained on, and could not find a way to turn them off... this problem I have only seen occur once. Also, while I was driving my car over to the shop where it is currently, the interior lights (above and in between the driver and passenger seat) were on, even when they were switched 'off'. They were giving off a slightly dimmer source of light than in the 'on' switch position. They still have it in the shop because, in their terminology, they are trying to make the car 'fail' while they are present, so they can try and determine the problem, such as if these lights switch on while the car is off, so they might be able to pinpoint the issue. So far, they don't know what's causing it. If they think it is the control module, I probably will take it some where else for a second opinion... Sadly, I know nothing about cars, and so I cannot begin to know what I could do myself to fix it. *smirks some* I just don't want to spend, what was it... about $700 for something that they said if it doesn't work, it just doesn't work. Not worth it at this point. Hoping it's just a bad wire!
