RE: ECU Question - 2/14/2008 12:35:18 PM    rtstealth616   Posts: 11 Joined: 2/12/2008 Status: offline I replaced the caps in the ECU, and the car runs good not great but only without theMAF connected when I connected the MAF I can hear the fuel pump relay clicking on and off and the car will die without throttle help any, I alreayd put another MAF in the car and it still does the same thing, I think I just may have a bad ECU. Sometimes you can find ECU's at places like OReilly, Autozone, NAPA, etc.  I bought one for my TT at OReilly for about $250.  If the caps leaked enough, they could have shorted one of the daughter boards out, or ate through the traces in the PCB.  Who replaced the caps on your ECU? _____________________________ My Gallery (in reply to rtstealth616) Post #: 6

Thanks for the link of ECU #s but when i bought the car somone had already been in the ECU and the 2nd # is gone all i know is that its a MD159966 and i found a MD159964 do you think it might work? THANKS ROB ONTARIO,CANADA Mass Air Flow Sensor.  It's inline between your air filter and intake pipe.  The ECU uses it to measure the amount of air going into your engine.
