have 2 questions for anyone that can help me out

1 - just had my gauge pod installed today but one of them is a oil pressure gauge and they cant figure out where to intall it on the 5.7 - wiring is run but they dont know how to hook it up or to what

2 - had altezza tailights put on the rear and there is about an 1/8 gap between the lights and body - LOVE how they look but worried about snow, rain getting in there and shorting something out - anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it (if you did)

can ANYONE help with these 2 issues

thanks in advance

No idea on #2

On #1... The OEM sensor is located by the oil filter. Not sure if you want to tap those sensor wires because it's .5 volt and you guage is probably setup for 12 v.  Did the guage come w/a sensor and are you wondering where to put that?

ok sorry to keep bothering you

looked at the generic direction sheet they give you in the box - it is a pressure sender !

but still cant find out online as to where/how it gets installed - is this something you would recommend taking to the dealer to finish since they HOPEFULLY know where to install it ?

again - want to thank you for your help

If you take the plastic skid belly pan off and look up at the oil filter (as if you were changing out the filter) Above the oil filter you will see the OEM oil pressure sender. Above that sender there is a plug with a hex head, remove that and the autometer sensor will screw into it. Run the wire & your done.

Good luck on that project.

Mango

once again you saved my @ss ! THANK YOU

now if i can just figure out the taillight issue

was thinking about cutting off the washers on the 3 double ended studs that go through to the trunk if that would fix it ? i think they may be the culprit

any reason NOT to try that ?
