Default Powerwire really powerful?

Yes, I'm aware. I'm gonna beat a dead horse. But I'm gonna order a powerwire. And from people who have got one. Is it a dramatic change in hp, I mean, can you notice a change. Tell all about it, stories, everything. ha ha. And I know it injects 2% more fuel... is that gonna kill my MPG? Cause right now i get a pretty good MPG, is that gonna go down darastically? Lemme know all about it. And any suggestions please.

From what I've heard it helps a little bit...I wouldnt expect to find a huge change in performance....but anything to get our engines up and running helps

I have one and I know that it helped with power for sure. It isn't amazing or anything but I don't like taking it off because I notice the difference. I took it off to go to the dealer one day and half way home I was like this sucks, so I pulled over and put it back on.

When going on a long trip you should take it out if you plan on driving over 75 or so for a long period of time. I did a 700 mile trip to Vegas and had to keep the pedal in it to keep my speed up to 80 because I was on very slight but constant hill and going into the wind. When I got to the first gas stop I checked and was getting 13 MPG. The powerwire burns more fuel at wide open throttle so I took it out since I was using a lot of throttle and improved to 18 mpg. On the way back and slowed down to 65 and got 22 mpg.

I got an intake for christmas and I think that with both the intake and powerwire ithas helped a lot. The power of my truck doesn't really bother me anymore. I have noticed that since I got my intake my mpg has dropped even though I haven't been driving any different. My last tank I only got 12 something when I usually get 15. I know winter gas will drop it some. The temp here the last month has been anywhere between 15-40 so I wonder if the powerwire combined with the cold temp is giving the truck too much gas? Anyone know if the temperature will affect the power wire.

bchap did the powerwire really help that much? I was looking into buying it for mine, but was hesitant because I was unsure if it would help much. From the sounds of your story it seems that it did improve the engine, oh and markmark6464 he is talking about a Cold Air Intake. haha not some cold air type of thing.

I like it. I mean it's not amazing and doesn't blow you away with power or anything but I can definitely notice the difference. I notice it the most when I take it out it drives me nuts and I usually put it back in right away. The truck feels a lot less responsive and more sluggish without it. For $40 I would say it's for sure worth it. However I'm really liking the combo of the powerwire and intake. It has helped enough that the power of the truck doesn't bother me at all. I think if I got an IMCO muffler which Marv said sounds good and helpeda little with power and put in 4.10 gears I would be very happy with the truck. Well I've never not been happy anyways as I have no need or desire to race people. I would like gears but I'm not sure if I'll ever spend the money on it or not.

Sounds good. I have to check into that. As far as gears go, definetely get them. I got 4.56's in mine and they REALLY brought out the power

How much did the cost you and how did it affect mileage? I was originally thinking of 4.10's so do you turn high rmps at high speed with 4.56's.
