3.5L SXT Intake question - 2/7/2008 4:29:41 PM    rali2000   Posts: 1 Joined: 2/7/2008 Status: offline I currently have a K&N Aircharger part # 63-1117. Is this the same as a cold air intake? Also, sometimes when I accelerate I get like a muffled sound from the engine (possibly the intake), and it takes a bit before I hear the aircharger kick in and then the car picks up speed, any ideas on what might be causing this? Are the AEM BruteForce intakes better than the K & N? Another question, whats a good way to get more low end torque, i was thinking JBA headers, and a throddle body spacer? I already have magnaflow duals...Thanks for any input!! Post #: 1

RE: 3.5L SXT Intake question - 2/16/2008 3:56:53 PM    DakotaStone Posts: 3511 Joined: 8/15/2005 Status: offline As far as I'm concerned, the K&N is over rated.  You can find other intakes for better prices and far better quality.  Hammer has a great CAI but the cost is about $400 but it has proven dyno ratings. JBAs are good for some low end torque, but leave out the TBS, it's just a paperweight for our engines. _____________________________ I own a Charger now and I love it!!
