Car Jerking... - 2/6/2008 8:27:30 AM    Ziems   Posts: 18 Joined: 1/14/2008 Status: offline My car was jerking to the left last night. It was pretty serious, and i had to drive 3 miles at 5mph home cuz it was so bad. And this morning it didnt do it at all. Im thinkin it was my brakes. Theres not much you guys can tell me other than... what happens when your tie rods brake? Or your belts in your tires? Could a brake be the problem??? so confused my car always wants to break down onme Post #: 1

Status: offline If your tie rod is broken,that wheel/tire will not turn with the other,it will most likely turn right or left depending on which tie rod and stay in that position. A belt will be more of a vibration or light thump thump feeling. The brakes can cause that if there are bad and a catch & release action can happen. Start at the brakes and work your way in. Once i got to 45mph it was just like alot of vibrations but the intensity stayed the same. (in reply to moparborn) Post #: 3
