How do I get rid of my pwer steering. It's acting up and I want to get rid of it since I don't use my AC either. Getting rid of that extra belt should add some ponies, but not if I have to wrestle w/ the steering wheel to get it to turn. Oh and which Cam are we supposed to get the twelve or the fourteen, I really want one that'll make my car lope just cause it sounds cool but performance over style always.

Taking the PS pump off will make it steer like a manual, its gonna be hard to turn if you are not moving. Either cam is good, it all depends on how far you plan on going with the motor. The #14 would be for a real agressive N/A or a turbo motor.

Do you think mine is aggressive enough to warrant a 14 this early? What kind of gains do you thinkk it would a=offer at this stage and where's a good place to get one from?

I'll have to disagree with that, if you take the pump off and loop the lines on the rack you'll notice about half the help you had before, but if you cut the lines, it will feel like it does when the car is off and your sitting still trying to turn the wheel, did this on my old p-up when I accidently smashed the pump, well it wasn't an accident, I was pissed about breaking the cap so I take a hammer to it.
And removing it won't add horsepower, it will free up used horsepower.
Just my .02 cents

If you want you can replace your PS with the ACR Neon's manual steering, you can get it through Mopar Performance or find one in a junkyard. If you do this you will be able to steer alot easier than with just removing your PS pump. You will also be getting rid of 70 pounds by switching to the manual rack & pinion.
I don't see how looping the hoses will give you anything but more work. You are now using the rack as a pump to move the fluid.

well I took off the pump befor I read the rest of your comments so Oh well. It is alot harder to steer all the time. What if I just remove all of the lines and let it drain? I left the lines on for now but I broke some stuff so this is a one way ticket

Can I get the specs on that dual clutch plate thats on your car and by the way Im doing the power steering thing this summer, yeah its gonna be a bitch in parking lots but thats alot of weight to lose and it frees up some hp's.

I had the clutch custom made to the same specs as a 95 clutch, it's a six puck design. But you can have it tailered to your engine and driving style. Mine has the float plate just because it was recomended by some friends of mine. Fidanza might have one, probably classified as a stage three set up
