Is there anyway to read the codes off of a 2004 Jeep grand cherokee without buying the scan equipment. Older vehicles could be done using the key turn trick and counting engine light flashes.

[align=left]trick i learned from dakota guys..........go to Autozone......they do it for free and tell you what the code means...all fo free! I even mentioned about buying a reader while i was there and the autozone guy told me don't buy one cause they read for free!
