keep dodge ram or trade for charger rt - 2/2/2008 7:53:39 PM    hlee1911   Posts: 12 Joined: 2/2/2008 Status: offline I think i know what you guys are going to say...but ive been thinking about it for a while I have an 06 ram 4.7.. i mean its pretty decent.. but its single cab and theres no room i like having 4 doors... and the truck was kind of a late graduation present.  I don't want to act ungrateful but i never wanted the truck to begin with. I get about 13mpg... and i figured if im going to pay that for gas i might as well be driving a charger rt.. the car i really, really want. I don't use the truck the way it should be used, i never utilize the truck bed or anything im usually riding 4 deep in the thing lol.  I know being a 20 year old means payments are going to be pretty high for a charger, but this potential swap is something i have been thinking about a lot lately. Does anyone want to throw their 2 cents out to give me some advice ?? it'd be appreciated _____________________________ ".......but theys still clean" Post #: 1

You can get better gas milage on an R/T than you would in a truck. I know my R/T gets better gas milage than my truck did. If you end up trading her in, may I suggest maybe putting some money down? And look into what kind of Charger you want. R/T regular, R/T with R&T package, Daytona, Evic option, maybe even an SRT8 but you might be right back to the 13-14MPG (in reply to bign1976) Post #: 3

RE: keep dodge ram or trade for charger rt - 3/13/2008 1:44:13 AM    rappin_trashman   Posts: 186 Joined: 9/28/2006 Status: offline ive got to tell you...i argued myself over this very question...for the first 6 months ive had my truck...and my truck is a rumblebee(2 door) with a hemi... i can tell you...even going from a 4.7 to a hemi...is like night and in itself...if its a hemi you want...then i can tell you...they are freaking badass...whether...its a ram..a magnum...a charger...or a jeep grand cherokee!!! the difference between the charger and the 2 door ram and the hemi...with acceleration...is neck and neck from 0-80....after that...the charger is gonna pull on the hemi due to wind resistance...but dont get it twisted...the ram is no slacker by any means... the lx cars are having new tuners (sct/diablo) coming out...or are out...which are claiming complete control of the pcm's....while the ram's they are still working on dude...your 20...you have no kids...and if you can afford it...go get it!! but dont get used...i see to many of these cars on used lots that are abused...i love my truck to death...but its not a charger...then again...i need a truck...and i get more looks/questions from my rumblebee then i would just an ordinary charger rt best of luck to you... oh and by the way...the guys on these charger forums are GREAT...mangointx...knows his crap on the lx cars...and a hell of a nice guy from what i can see... later! _____________________________ Dodge Ram Rumble Bee eatin gas...and haulin' ass!!=) (in reply to MangoInTX) Post #: 6
