Default Looking to buy new Durango or Pilot

Need some help here! I can get an '08 Honda Pilot 2wd V6 Ex or '07(brand new) Durango 4wd 4.7l slt for the exact same price. Drove both and like both. Dodge comes with the lifetime warranty. Honda comes with great reputation and resale value. Which should I get?

What part of LIFETIME warranty did you miss?

IMHO, question answered.

Well went back and bought the Durango today. No buyers remorse, yet. [&:]I feel pretty good about my decision.

Heres a question though. The dealer offered me a lifetime plus warranty for $1500. I'm thinking about doing it. I have up to a week to decide. It's basically a lifetime bumper to bumper and covers everything not wear and tear related. Should I do it?

The already included lifetime warranty on the drivetrain is nice. For $1500 extending that to bumper to bumper... without deductible... may be worth it IF you are keeping the D for 6-10 years.

Keep in mind it MUST be a Chrysler offer and not a third party one. Other parties go out of business and so does your warranty extension. Chrysler themselves may go out of business so who really knows.

As for me, had the warranty been offered when I got my D 8 years ago, I would have been advantaged by the $1500 then as compared to what I have spent since then.

Also note, see what mods you may do that could void your warranty. You would want to stay away from them and that issue.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Indy! It is through Chrysler though my dealer is giving me 50% off the price. He said since I didn't buy it at purchase Chrysler will send me something asking if I want the lifetime bumper to bumper but will ask $3,000 for it. I had to go 5 years on the note to be able to afford this thing so I may do it for $1,500 to make sure I'm coverage through the note and beyond. Things like power windows and sunroofs do go out and are not cheap. Not to mention all the electronic gadets. I need to see exactly what TTl is going to run me before I buy the coverage though.

Parked next to a Pilot at the store today. Didn't realize how much smaller those things are. Glad I bought the Durango. Cleaned it up and took some pics, thought I would share.

Great looking '07. Get some step sides on there and fillout the profile.

Congrats. Feels good to have a lifetime everything covered doesn't it. Now drive it for 20 years!
