There is a square grey rubber flap on the upper driver's side just to the left of your brake pedal and above where the carpet ends.. Its perforated.. Pull it off and under that there is a rubber grommet that you can pass wires through. Just make a hole in the black rubber grommet smaller than your wire and pass it through the firewall... You can pull the black grommet off to make the hole first so you wont damage anything in the engine compartment.

I ran it to the front lighter plug positive wire.. I did that for a few reasons,
1) its easy to access
2) you don't need to pull the radio
3) it turns on and shuts off the same way the radio does and will stay on until you open the door (Same as the radio)
and since there isn't much current draw on the remote line from the amp, you don't have to worry about overloading the circuit... but that's true with any positive wire you connect it to.

There are obviously other places that you can run it to that will achieve the same results but I didn't feel like testing all the wires under my dash or running it outside to the fuse block. Quick, easy and functional..

I have detailed instructions with pictures in a post on this site that explain how to take your console apart to reach the lighter plug without damaging your car's components (If you haven't done it before)
