need someone's help and bad

just got home from work and figured since it was nice out i would try and put a new toy on my 07 R/T ! just got the honeycomb style air diffuser for my car yesterday and went to put in on today- and there lies the problem !

got a nice new 1/4" drill bit (like the directions said) and  used a small amount of tape to hold it where i thought it was lined up right and started to drill my holes - fortunately (or not) i got 2 drilled and went to put the pop rivets in and the push part slides right through the rivet AND the 2 holes i just drilled through my bumper  = OH NO

can anyone tell me what i am missing or didnt do since the directions were wonderful in how vague they were - please help if possible - dont wanna have 2 holes in the bottom of my bumper

most pop rivits are 1/8" hole do they give you washers with a smaller hole to sandwich between the diffuser and bumper

hey bad venge

thanks for the advice but the only thing that came with the diffuser was the pop rivets - they kinda look like elongated baby pacifiers = no washers =  and the part you push up is ribbed and when i went to push up on it, it went completely through the rivet and hole

can i get other types of pop rivets at a dealer or should i look at a home inprovement store and see if i can get black flathead screws and lock nuts and try and  it that way ?

Since you did 1/4" holes I'd either look into 1/4" stainless or black socket head screws thenuse fender washers and nuts on the back side ...
Only other suggestion is to look at the autoparts store in the "Help" section Red and white packages they have fasteners for bodywork ect that might work ...
They also make a panel adhesize called "fuzor" you might be able to use it but dunno how to hold it while it dries/sets up

If youd get me pictures I might be able to give you better ideas

Bad Venge

ok either i cant understand simple directions or something else be wrong ! i found an ebay post that has it for sale :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge-Charger-Rear-Fascia-Air-Diffuser_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6763QQihZ024QQitemZ370001408478QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

if you scroll down toward the bottom it has a INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS link that opens in acrobat

if i am not mistaken it says in there for part E to use a .250 drill. well thats what i used !

the only thing i am wondering about is I DO NOT HAVE PART F - any idea what that is ?

may have to call dodge tomorrow and tell them i didnt get whatever it is - it is

any other suggestions would be helpful

THANK YOU

I'm guessing "F" is the installation tool meaning it pulls the rivit to expand it...
