i bought it back in 1989. i gave $50.00 for the car as bone. the car was a an old dirt track car
when i bought it. and the old girls been that ever since. yes a circle burner! she isn't the greatest lookin' car but, i've the old bird for almost 20 years. and i've raced the car for 15 years. she's not as beatup as most would think, being a stock car and all. the old bird isn't streetable at all.
nor will it ever be. i did manage to find the vin# on the rad support. i had a buddy of mine that worked at dvm in omaha, ne. back there they have adune buggie law. he told me if i could find a vin# he would help get a dup title. until recently i discovered the numbers. too late! and i found out that Oregon laws are different and they wouldn't let me drive it on the street no matter what i did. right now she has a 70 newport front bumper narrowed of course, a 6 point cage w/door bars, fuel cell, new seat and cover circle track w/belts, the engine isnot the 383mag,318w/ 360 aawj heads4v, comp cams extreme energy cam, comp cams variable duration lifter and pushrods,no mufflers, 360 intake and exhaust
manifolds, 2and 1/2 inch pipes short. 904 trans out of a 78 volare, floor shifter out of a 78 horizon, shift linkage out of a 78 volare r/t. drive shaft is costum real spendy,2 driveshaft loops
front and rear, and 5.45 rear gears. vdo gages and a sun super tach2, wiring is out of a 73 duster
on/offswitch andstart button, battery is a napa 6 pack battery an orbital, fuel cell 16gallon. and round it all out 4, 11' slicks! yes to drive on dirt.
