Delay wiper problems - 1/21/2008 10:12:27 AM    unclepudge   Posts: 36 Joined: 11/18/2006 Status: offline I have a 2000 Dakota QC and recently noticed when wipers are in delay mode they are erratic,sometimes they go fast then slow sometimes 1 or 2 swipes then they stop then 1 swipe then stop 3 swipes etc etc. they work fine in the slow and fast normal positions just different in the delay? have read some recalls just not sure if it covers my truck or problem? If the problem with yours is in the wiper park switch, replacing the motor will fix the delay problem as the switch is part of the wiper motor. However, most of the ones I have seen at my dealership have had problems with the CTM or central timer module. RE: Delay wiper problems - 2/5/2008 4:45:42 PM    00DakR/T Posts: 197 Joined: 12/4/2007 Status: offline Typically, if the CTM is the problem, it will have a code in it for "ROM checksum failure" or something along that line. However, the codes can't be checked in the CTM by using a generic OBDII scanner but only by the DRBIII scanner we use at the dealership.
