I was looking up more on Chinese cars and came across this.  There is no doubt in my mind they they did reverse engineering on these cars.  They are almost exactly the same.  They also stole design elements from cars...  I cannot stand the Chinese automakers.

yeah...i heard about this a while ago, and i was talking to amanda about it at the show today.

one of the BYD cars looks identical to a mercedes, with the BYD badges rather than the tri star.

i specifically recall the fuss about that company knocking off the BMW suv, and i recall that they made no bones about the fact that they were copying current cars.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Chrysler in business with the Cheri car company in China?

You would be correct...  I can already see it going bad.

Nothing new from that part of the world...the Russians built almost exact copies of many of our fighter/bomber aircraft as well as the space shuttle......at least the Chi-Coms are building "peaceful copies" of our stuff........

I wish Chrysler had enough sense to stay away from that market, it just shows how bad their focus was the last few years.  Hopefully they regroup and get out of there, they are also selling Liberty's (under the cherokee name) in Malaysia, sans emissions equipment due to the lenient enviro laws there, what a sad way to save a dime.

This is a long discussed topic. Notice that the UN does absolutely nothing. So much for a global police force.

in case you havent figured it out yet, the only time that the "UN" does anything, actually means that our army is cleaning up someone elses mess...
