A friend of mine just recieved a 95 neon as a gift from her uncle. He did a lot of work on the car to get it running, somewhere along the line he disconnected the speedometer and never reconnected it. Well she talked to her uncle and said alls that it needs is to be reonnected if anyone could give me some information on how to reconnect it or where i can find info on how that would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
chris

There is only 2 places it could be disconnected, at the dash which is unlikely considering that its a plug for all the gauges, or at the transmission, there is a plug. Other than that he cut a wire somewhere in between.

i'm not sure if its atx or mtx is there a difference if there is what is it? Also as far as i know he didn't cut it, when you say by the transmission under the hood or by the gear selector?
On ATX's the plug is ontop of the transmission. I'd imagine it's the same for MTX's as well. You can reach it by removing the battery and battery tray.
I just replace the clutch in my MTX today I am not sure which plug it is, but there are 2 on mine one near the battery box and the other is near the exhust manifold.

THIS IS WHERE YOUR GOING TO FIND IT>
ITS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE MOTOR
UNDER YOUR AIR BOX.
IF YOU HAVE A STOCK AIR INTAKE YOU WILL NEED TO GET IT FROM
UNDER YOUR CAR.
IF YOU NEED TO DO THAT USE STANDS
AND LAY BEHIND YOUR DRIVERS TIRE, AND THE EXHAUST PIPE
WILL BE IN YOUR WAY BUT THERS LOTS OF ROOM
WHERE THE TRANNY AND THE MOTOR MEETS TO THE DRIVERS SIDE
TOP OF THE TRANNY STICKING UP AND OUT IN THE OPEN
RIGHT BY YOUR SHIFTING CABLE.
ITS THE ONLY ONE
