Good forum that you guys have going on here!

I will admit, I too am not that mechanically inclined like some of the other members... I have a '07 Charger R/T and was wanting to upgrade the stock exhaust... The guys at my local performance shop are suggesting I go with the Magnaflow (15628) kit. I know they do offer Corsa and Borla as well as the many other brands.

Seems most of the former posts that I have read about exhaust seems that people are constantly talking Flowmaster, or at the very least Corsa or Borla... and I am not seeing anything about Magnaflow...

What is your take on the Magnaflow system versus these other brands?

TITAN - DO NOT GET THE MAGNAFLOW!!!!   I cannot emphasize that enough.  The Magnaflow will, when the engine goes into MDS mode, emit what is commonly referred to as the "Hemi drone"!  It is a low frequency hum/vibration that can be very annoying!  Spend a little more and get a Corsa, Borla, or others on this board can recommend others.  I put the Magnaflow on my 06 R/T because it was about the first available and I wanted it 'RIGHT NOW', if you know what I mean.  I wish I had waited for the Corsa or Borla.  Trust me - you do not want the Magnaflow system.  I don't care what the folks at your local performance shop tell you.  I'm telling you from experience, and there are a couple others on this board that would tell you the same thing - stay away from Magnaflow.

Thanks guys.

Dave - I think I read else where that you have the Corsa now on your '06... is that correct?

Specifically are these the ones that you guys would be recommending then:

Borla - Stainless Steel Cat-Backā„¢ System Aggressive Part # 140125
Corsa -
05-06 RSC-Dual Rear Exit w/Single 3.5" Pro-Series Tips Part # 14177
Flowmaster - 05-08 Force II System Part # 17405

I am willing to spend the money, just want to get the right system... of these three above (or if there are others out there) Which is simply the best choice?

I assume they will all sound relatively the same? Sound is my first concern... I am looking to make the 5.7L sound deeper and more throatier... whatever HP added is fine but like you guys already say: it won't be a substantial difference until other mods are combined.

Let me know. Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum Titan_32.

Don't know if this will help but here goes.

The two most effective agains drone are Corsa and Zoomers, on the flip side their the most expensive.

Borla is another good choice.  Personally I haven't heard the flowmasters in action on the Chargers with a 5.7 so I can't speak for them.

I have Corsa on my ride and their great. It's a reflective technology that reflects exhaust pressure back onto itself to cancel out the noise but when you hammer down the exhaust is straight through and it sounds mean.

Good luck!
